Technology(1969)
Summary: President John F Kennedy was determined to be the first country to fly a man to the moon or around it, he was very determined to beat the Soviets to their game.In 1967 the United States set out a Treaty on Principles Governing the Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space. The treaty basically sums up that anything that mankind might find on the moon is and can be used for scientific exploration and observation. It also states what other countries are not liable to do to interfere with this new exploration in science. By 1969 we had landed our first man on the moon, the mission was completed by Neil Armstrong with his strong words of, "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

Analysis: Bringing the first man to the moon was a huge break through for the US, and NASA. Showing what our country is capable of. Many people of Ohio felt so privileged to have a man of their own state to be flying to a whole other part of the universe. Being able to bring the first man to the moon has been a big help and breakthroughs in scientific and outer space discoveries. Since 1969 now that we know that we have the ability to go to space we can learn more about what is around us, which has clearly happened.
